2020 Best Fifa Football Awards: Egypt’s Mohamed Salah and Senegal’s Sadio Mane up for Awards

A list of nominees for the Best Fifa Football Awards scheduled to hold on 17 December has been released, and two African players made the Men’s Player shortlist. Nominated amongst other top players are Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Fifa announced that winners will be chosen through a combined voting process involving head coaches and captains of all national teams around the globe, and in addition to that, there will be an online ballot of fans and submissions from a select group of more than 200 media representatives.

Other players nominated in this category include; Lionel Messi (Argentina, Barcelona), Thiago Alcantara (Spain, Liverpool), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal, Juventus), Kevin de Bruyne (Belgium, Manchester City), Robert Lewandowski (Poland, Bayern Munich), Kylian Mbappe (France, Paris St-Germain), Neymar (Brazil, Paris St-Germain), Sergio Ramos (Spain, Real Madrid), and Virgil van Dijk (Netherlands, Liverpool).
