Super Falcons forward Anam Imo grabbed a goal for Rosengård in their 3-0 away win over Djurgårdens IF at the Stockholm Stadion on Monday night.
Imo was handed a rare start by Coach Jonas Eidevall for the Round 11 encounter and repaid the faith shown in her with a well-taken first-half goal for her side, setting the tone for an easy win.
Unbeaten in their past four league games, Rosengård went into the break in the lead through Imo’s 43rd-minute strike, then two quick goals from Lisa-Marie Utland in the 68th and 69th minute helped seal a comfortable victory for the 10-time Swedish Damallsvenkan champions.
The former Nigeria U-20 international has now scored two goals in as many games for Rosengård. With the win, the Swedish side remain top of the table with 24 points from 11 games.
The 18-year-old signed a two-year-deal with Rosengård back in May before joining the Super Falcons for the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France where she featured in two games.
