Super Falcons forward Anam Imo has won the Swedish Women’s Damallsvenskan title with Rosengard after Vittsjo held them to a 1-1 draw at home on Sunday.
The Nigerian played a part in the club’s emergence as league champions for the first time since 2015 after Sunday’s stalemate.
Having played out an entertaining 3-3 draw against Linköping last weekend, Jonas Eidevall’s ladies only needed a draw in their penultimate game of the season to clinch the title.
Anna Anvegard put the hosts ahead a minute before the half-hour mark but Alexandra Benediktsson restored parity four minutes later as both sides shared the spoils.
By virtue of the point, Rosengard have now won the top-flight crown a record 11 times.
Imo,18, scored five goals in 16 appearances for the newly-crowned Swedish champions.
