Nigerian rising star Joe Aribo bagged a brace of assists for Rangers as they drubbed Ross County 4-0 in the Scottish Premier League on Wednesday.
In a game of doubles, Ryan Jack and Alfredo Morelos also scored separate pairs of goals, as Rangers stayed on par with Celtic in the race for the Scottish Premiership title.
The opener came after Sheyi Ojo found some space on the left after a neat exchange of passes with Aribo, before rolling the ball across the face of goal for Morelos to tap home after 20 minutes.
Nine minutes later, Rangers made it 2-0; Jack latched on to a loose ball in the box, firing past the goalkeeper to extend his side’s lead.
Moments later, they were out of sight as Jack grabbed his second of the night, finishing Aribo’s pass to make the scoreline 3-0 after 37 minutes of play.
In the 72nd minute, Morelos received a well-executed pass from Aribo before smartly finishing past Ross Laidlaw to complete the rout.
With the win, Rangers go level with Celtic on 28 points after eleven rounds of games, but with an inferior goal difference.
Aribo, a mainstay in Steven Gerrard’s side, has three assists and a further four goals to his name in all competitions so far this season.
