Forward Asisat Oshoala scored twice in Barcelona Femini’s 5-2 win over Arsenal Women at Meadow Park on Wednesday night.
The 24-year old striker featured for Arsenal Women in 2016, winning the FA Women’s Cup title before earning a switch to Chinese side Dalian Yifang in 2017.
In the high-profile friendly, the Gunners went in front in the 36th minute through Katie McCabe’s strike but Barcelona Femini responded with two quick-fire goals from Patri Guijarro and Asisat Oshoala in the 44th and 45th minute respectively to take the lead into the break.
Five minutes after the restart, Oshoala struck for the second the second time in the game. Claudia Pina then curled in another in the 71st minute as Barcelona continue to pull away but Arsenal Women pulled one back courtesy of a 76th minute penalty from Kim Little. Pina later grabbed her second of the night late on for yet another win for the Barcelona side.
Oshoala was involved in the game for 61 minutes. The former FC Robo player has scored six goals in three pre-season games for the Blaugranes so far.
Barcelona Femini will kick off their Spanish Primera Division (Women) 2019/2020 season against newly-promoted CD Tacon on September 7.
