Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala grabbed two goals for Barcelona Femini in Saturday’s 6-1 drubbing of rivals Atletico Madrid.
It was an easy victory for the Barcelona side as they cruised to the summit of the table in a one-sided affair at the Johan Cryuff Stadium in matchday three’s biggest fixture in the Primera division.
As early as the 2nd minute, Sampredo opened the scoring for the visitors, but Jenni Hermoso leveled matters for Barcelona Femini six minutes later. Mariona Caldentey gave Barcelona the lead for the first time in the 28th minute. An own goal by Lopez made it 3-1 to Barcelona before Oshoala got her first league goal of the season on the stroke of half-time.
Two minutes after the break, Oshoala completed her brace to pile more misery on the visitors before another own goal from Meseguer completed the rout.
The former Arsenal Ladies forward has now scored four goals in all competitions this season and has an impressive record of 19 goals in 21 appearances for Barcelona Femini since joining the Spanish outfit from Dalian Quanjian of China.
