The preliminary draws for the 2022 World Cup were held on Monday at the Confederation of Africa Football office in Cairo Egypt. The 14 preliminary round winners, with 26 countries will be split into 10 groups of four each and the games will be played over two legs, the first batch of matches will commence in March.
Two countries who played in just concluded AFCON have been drawn to play against each other.
Burundi will play against Tanzania and four other countries that played at the just concluded AFCON in Egypt will have to play in the preliminary round too and it is between 2nd to 10th of September 2019.
The teams that will be playing in the preliminary round are Zimbabwe, Angola, Namibia, and Guinea-Bissau to play against Somalia, Eritrea, Sao Tome e principle and the Gambia.
