Super Falcons forward Chioma Wogu has sealed a move to Dinamo Minsk of Belarus from Nigeria Women’s Premier League side Rivers Angels on a two-year deal.
Wogu completed her move on Wednesday after a medical, and personal terms have been agreed to with the Belarusian champions.
The 21-year-old will be featuring in the Belarusian Women’s Premier League alongside compatriot Emuidzhi Oghiabekhva, who was Minsk’s player of the year in 2019.
The 2016 African Women’s Cup of Nations winner who was once on the books of Confluence Queens of Lokoja, becomes the second African signing for Volodymyr Reva’s side following the arrival of South Africa’s Bambanani Mbane.
Having won the league title for seven consecutive seasons, the Blues and Whites’ have signalled their intent, with Wogu’s arrival, to continue dominating on the domestic scene and to go past the quarter-final stage of the 2020 UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Wogu could make her debut for Minsk when they face Isloch in the Belarusian Women’s Super Cup on March 29.
