Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze was impressive as Villarreal came from a goal down to win 2-1 against Real Sociedad at the Raele Arena.
The Nigeria international made his 18th appearance in La Liga this season and played for 82 minutes before he was substituted. Although, Chukwueze could not add to his tally of three league goals this campaign, he was impressive nonetheless.
Midway through the first half, the hosts went ahead through Willian Jose.
Javi Calleja’s men then staged a comeback and Chukwueze was at the center of things. The 20-year-old won a penalty that was converted by Manu Trigueros just before the hour mark, to level the score at 1-1.
Santi Cazorla then scored the winning goal in the 72nd minute.
Before his substitution, Chukwueze completed the most key passes and dribbles for the Yellow Submarine.
With this victory, Villarreal move up to ninth with 28 points from 19 matches. Their next game is a Copa Del Rey fixture against Orihuela on January 11.
