Jamilu Collins has returned to full training with Bundesliga side SC Paderborn after recovering from a bout of the flu.
The 23-year-old was conspicuously absent as Germany’s basement club suffered a 3-0 humbling at the hands of FC Koln, who themselves hover just above the relegation zone. Paderborn coach Steffen Baumgart announced before the game that the Nigeria international was suffering from influenza, and so would be forced to miss the game. New signing Gerrit Holtmann deputized in his absence.
Collins, who was a part of Nigeria’s squad during the October international break, and started the 1-1 draw against Brazil in Kallang, Singapore, is now fully recovered, and resumed training with his club on Wednesday.
