Reigning NCCA double sprint champion Divine Oduduru will begin the quest at the Moulay Abdellah Sports Stadium today in Rabat, Morocco for his first all Africa games title.
Oduduru won a silver medal behind Cote D’Ivoire’s Hua Wilfried in 2015 in Brazzaville, Congo.
The race for the fastest African man in the 100m and 200m event will be competed for in the first round of the 200m, the race has been drawn in lane seven of heat six, Divine Oduduru is expected to move into the semi-finals today.
He will be having Nigerians Ogho-Oghene Egwero and Emmanuel Arowolo, as well as Arthur Cisse from Cote D’Ivoire to contend with.
Divine Oduduru will be the first Nigeria to win this title if he wins the race since 2003 after Uchenna Emedolu ran 20.42 second to win the title in Abuja, Nigeria.
