Forward Emem Eduok has expressed his delight at scoring on his league debut for Croatian side Hajduk Split in their 3-0 away win over NK Varazdin at the Stadion Andelko Herjavec.
Eduok joined Bili in the summer from Turkish second division with BB Erzurumspor, where he scored four goals in 14 games in the second half of last season.
The former Dolphins striker came in as a substitute for Bassel Jradi in the 56th minute and put the icing on the cake in the 86th minute with a third, after earlier strikes from Ivan Dolček and Mijo Caktaš.
Shortly after the game, the Itu-born striker took to the social media platform, Twitter to express his joy and thank the fans too.
“Thank you, Jesus. Thank you Hajduk fans for your support. God is the greatest… three points,” he tweeted.
The 25-year-old had stints with Tunisian giants Esperance and Turkish Super League side Kasimpasa before his switch to Croatia. Eduok and his teammates will now face NK Lokomotiva Zagreb at home in their next league game on August 4.
