ENYIMBA THRASH RAHIMO TO PROGRESS AS KANO PILLARS CRASH OUT OF COMPETITION

Enyimba of Aba on Sunday overturned a one Zero defeat against Rahimo of Burkina Faso to progress to the next stage of the CAF Champions League on a 5 -1 aggregate score.

The game which was played behind closed doors as a result of fans’ violence in their previous games, saw a scintillating football display by the Aba Elephants.

A brace from Reuben Bala, one in the 32′ minute of play and another in the 86′ minute were among other goals from Stanley Okoro, and a brace from Stanley Dimgba that completed the romp.

The NPFL champions were glorious in their all-round display.

In another vein, the Sai Masu Gida of Kano, Kano Pillars were dumped out of the competition when Asante Kotoko hit them 2-0 on Saturday In Ghana.

Pillars could not score a goal to keep up their 3-2 home win and progress to the next stage.

The defeat came as a shock to everyone as Kano Pillars were clear favorites to qualify for the next stage.
