D’Tigress power forward Evelyn Akhator stole the show as her side CB Avenida thumped AE Sedis Bàsquet 73-37 in the Spanish Liga Femenina on Sunday.
It was a dominant performance for CB Avenida, as they led from start to finish, winning the first quarter 19-5 and taking the second 19-11 to lead 38-16 at half-time.
After play resumed, the 2018 Liga champions continued from where they left off, winning the third and fourth quarters to claim a 73-37 comfortable win.
Akhator posted 18pts in the previous match day and was clearly in the same mood for this one, as she had 14pts,6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block and 1 steal to ensure Avenida stay unbeaten after four round of games, winning all four of them.
The 24-year-old who joined the former champions from Besiktas last season, has been in top form since her switch to Spain.
Akhator had a title-winning campaign with Nigeria at the AfroBasket in Senegal where Nigeria successfully defended their title; she was also named in the All-star team for the tournament.
