U. S based Nigerian female boxer Helen Joseph has solicited the support of the Nigerian government and sports administrators in making her dreams come true.
Helen Joseph who lives in Stanford, Connecticut, lamented that she has not been enjoying the support of her country.
Joseph who was born in Rivers state has always aspired to wonder stage a fight in Nigeria.
“My country has not helped me. I fought all my opponents in their own countries. I travelled around the world to fight my opponents. Do you think this is easy? I want my next fight to come up in Nigeria”, Helen Joseph said.
Helen Joseph hails from Akure in Ondo and has won 17 fights, 10 of which were by knockouts in 24 professional fights, the recent of which was a defeat to America’s Mikaela Mayer on the 14th July 2020.
Joseph is 30 years old and is the first African female boxer to fight at the famous MGM Grand Arena.
