Nigeria’s Sadiq Umar gave a man of the match performance for his club FK Partizan as they trounced Spartak Subotica 4-0 in the Serbian Superliga on Sunday.
Umar, 22, contributed two assists and grabbed a goal for himself to help his side to a convincing win at the Partizan stadium.
Bibras Natkho gave the home side the lead in the 17th minute, lashing home after a Sadiq header. Having missed two good chances earlier, the lanky striker tapped home from Natcho’s return pass into an unguarded net in 39th minute to make it 2-0.
Partizan then made it 3-0 four minutes before the break. Sadiq beat Subotica’s offside trap, before squaring to Seydouba Soumah for an easy finish, effectively ending the match as a contest.
After the interval, Dorde Ivanovic scored from the spot in the 77th minute to complete the rout.
Sadiq, an Olympic bronze medallist, has now taken his season tally to nine goals and has a further three assists to his credit.
