The wait is finally over as International Cricket action is set to resume about three months after the COVID-19 pandemic brought the gentlemen’s game to a standstill in March.
England will host West Indies in a three-test series. The first test begins in Southampton on Wednesday (July 8). The second and third tests will be played at the same venue.
(West Indies) are ready with their team sheets and the fans are waiting eagerly to tune in to the action on their television sets.
Though bowlers and fielders can apply sweat on the ball, the ban on saliva usage will perhaps make it quite difficult for the bowlers to get movement in the air.
The star pacers of England and West Indies – James Anderson and Kemar Roach – are known for their swing and it will be interesting to see how they get movement in the air without using saliva.
