Fringe Super Eagles forward Isacc Success impressed in Watford’s comfortable 3-0 League Cup win over Coventry City at the Vicarage Road on Tuesday night.
The 23-year-old was heavily involved in the first two goals, earning two assists in his first start of the 2019/2020 season.
As expected the visitors defended resolutely but eventually succumbed to pressure in the 37th minute when Success played in summer signing Ismaila Sarr to finish into the bottom left corner.
In the 56th minute, Watford doubled their lead and it was Success who provided the assist again, this time for Daryl Janmaat to blast home an effort into the top right-hand corner from inside the penalty area.
Substitute Adalberto Penaranda then scored his side’s third goal, firing home a 25-yard effort after 69 minutes to see the Hornets progress into the next round with a comprehensive 3-0 win.
Success has made just two appearances for the side so far but the former Granada man will be hoping to get more game time in the coming weeks of this 2019/2020 season.
Tom Dele-Bashiru also featured in the cup tie for the Premier League side having signed on a free after being released by Manchester City earlier this summer.
