The Masu Gida of Kano, Kano Pillars Football Club will tomorrow Saturday be hosted by Asante Kotoko of Ghana for the crucial second leg tie of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
The Masu Gida holds a slim 3-2 advantage lead from Kano two weeks ago and heads into the tie as favorites as they seek to progress to the next stage of the competition.
The NPFL must avoid any form of defeat to go through.
Their coach, Musa Ibrahim is highly confident in his players’ abilities to pull through, as he insisted that they will not settle for a defensive game, rather that they would go all out with full attack in mind.
“Kotoko is a strong side and we saw that in the first leg match in Kano. We respect them, but having seen them play in Kano, we now know how to approach the game (in Kumasi), the gaffer reiterated.
He said that his side holds the advantage and that has given his boys the high spirit needed to go into the game.
The team departed Abuja in the early hours of Friday morning for the crunch tie on Saturday.
