Italian neurosurgeon reveals that Formula One legend Michael Schumacher is now ‘very altered and deteriorated’ six years after his horrific skiing accident in the swiss alps, “and may never be the same again”
The former Ferrari driver, 51, suffered a near-fatal brain injury back in December 2013 when he fell and hit his head on a rock while skiing off-piste in the French Alps.
Schumacher is now out of a long-term medically induced coma, but leading surgeon Nicola Acciari, who is based in Bologna, claims he is now ‘a person very different from the one we remember on the track’.
While Schumacher continues on the road to recovery, only select people are allowed to see him. Luca Badoer, a former colleague of Schumacher’s at Ferrari, said only his wife chooses who is allowed to visit.
Schumacher has still not been seen since the accident, and we just like the general public are left to speculate and pray for a speedy recovery for the German Speedstar.
