Former Super Eagles forward Victor Moses grabbed a goal and an assist for Fenerbahçe in their 5-0 thrashing of Gazişehir Gaziantep on Monday night.

Fenerbahçe started the new season with an impressive victory against the newly-promoted side. Moses set the ball rolling in the sixth minute from the penalty spot, but missed another spot-kick in the 13th minute for the Yellow Canaries. Vedat Muriqi then made it 2-0 in the 17th minute with a powerful drive.

Fenerbahçe kept pushing forward, and Moses was fouled in the box for his side’s third penalty of the game in the 24th minute. Emre Belözoğlu converted from 12 yards this time as the Yellow Canaries went into half-time leading 3-0.

In the second half, Victor Moses turned provider for Nabil Dirar as the Moroccan scored the fourth goal for the side in the 74th minute of the game. Ferdi Kadıoğlu then put the game to bed with a fifth goal in the 88th minute to cap a memorable opening day win for the side.

Victor Moses is on an 18-month loan spell from Premier League giants Chelsea, having joined the Super Lig giants in January.
