MOSES SIMON PLAYS KEY ROLE IN NANTES WIN

Forward Moses Simon made a notable contribution to Nantes’ 1-0 win at Nimes Olympique in the French league on Sunday evening.

The 24-year-old provided the assist for the winner for the second game week running, having done the same against Dijon last weekend.

In a hotly-contested game between both sides, it was Nantes who got better of their hosts at the Stade des Costieres.

Shortly before the half-hour mark, Nantes got themselves the opener. Charles Traore’s long ball from the back was brought under control by Simon, who then put it on the plate for Imran Louza to fire into the back of the net.

The games stayed that way until the break and even after the interval, all attacks from the home side was curtailed by Nantes as they held on to claim a narrow 1-0 win in the end.

Nantes are now placed fourth on the French Ligue 1 table with 29 points from 18 games.  Simon has been a regular for Les Canaris, having featured in 16 of the 18 league games played so far. He has two goals and four assists to his credit as well
