Super Eagles duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi were involved as Leicester City secured a hard-fought draw against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday.
While both players started the game for the Foxes, youngster Bukayo Saka also kept his place in Arsenal’s squad as both teams continued to push for a European qualifying spot.
Saka was an important player for the Gunners as he created the goal for Arsenal while coming close himself to getting on the scoresheet.
Wilfred Ndidi, as usual, was ever-present in the heart of the Leicester City midfield but it was a teammate and compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho who was substituted before the hour mark that almost registered a goal.
Unfortunately for the former Man City man, his effort was cancelled as the centre official called for a foul to Arsenal in the buildup to the goal.
Ultimately, Arsenal & Leicester played out an entertaining and controversial affair, a match that truly was worth the hype.
