NPL REGISTERS TO RUN FOOTBALL IN NAMIBIA

Namibia Premier League has announced it has established a new professional soccer league that will be independently run without Namibia Football Association (NFA) structures.

The ‘new’ league body (NPL) is registered with Business and Intellectual Property Authority (BIPA) of Namibia and has applied for membership with the Namibia Sports Commission.

This development comes in the wake of NPL expulsion by NFA a fortnight ago. It also signals their intent to run a soccer League in the country without FIFA/NFA’s approval but with the nod of the sports governing in the country.
