Forward David Okereke was among the goals for Club Brugge as they sailed to an easy 3-0 win over visiting KV Kortrijk on Saturday.
The game at Jan Breydel Stadium could not have started worse for Kortrijk, as Brendan Hines-Ike brought down Eduard Sobol in the penalty box after just three minutes. Hans Vanaken then dispatched the resulting penalty with ease, sending Sébastien Bruzzese the wrong way for an early lead.
The home side further increased their lead in the 21st minute when Vanaken headed home to give the Blue and Blacks a two-goal cushion.
Six minutes after coming on for Mbaye Diagne in the 62nd minute, David Okereke scored his seventh league goal of the season, finishing off a defence-splitting pass from Siebe Schrijvers, as Club Brugge increased their lead at the top of the Belgian Pro League table to six points.
Okereke, 22, has now scored for the third consecutive league game and will have his attentions turned to the UCL game against PSG on Wednesday.
