Nigeria international Henry Onyekuru will spend the remaining part of the 2019/2020 season on loan at Turkish giants Galatasaray.

According to reports in the Turkish media, representatives of Onyekuru met with Monaco’s Vice President, Oleg Petrov on Wednesday to sort out the final details of the loan agreement.

Monaco have agreed to loan out Onyekuru to Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray for free without an option to buy after the expiration of the loan deal. Galatasaray is expected to cater for his wages during the period of the loan.

The Super Eagles forward has struggled for playing time since joining Monaco from Everton in the summer, making only four league appearances for the principality club this season without a goal.

The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, during which he won the domestic double, and scored 14 goals in 31 appearances.

However, the deal is not certain yet, according to sources contacted by Get French Football News. This is because new manager Robert Moreno wants to assess all 1st team players before any transfer business occurs.

If a deal is struck, he will hope to get more gametime and rediscover the form that saw him manage about one goal in every two matches last season.
