Super Falcons defender Osinachi Ohale scored her maiden goal for CD Tacon in their 5-1 whitewash of Sevilla in Saturday’s Primera Iberdrola fixture.
Ohale, who represented Nigeria at the last Women’s World Cup in France before her switch to Spain, finally opened her account for the newly-promoted side.
CD Tacon were behind early in the game, but a goal from Lorena Navarro drew them level in the 22nd minute before an unfortunate own goal from Maria Albarran put them in the lead for the first time in the match.
Campo Franco increased their lead in the 61st minute before Ohale headed home four minutes from time to give them more breathing space, but there was still time for Gema Prieto to complete the rout in stoppage time.
With the victory, Tacon have now garnered 16 points after 14 Spanish top-flight games this term and will face Barcelona Femeni in their next league game.
Meanwhile, Ohale’s goal for Tacon today has helped her resolve her drought of little over two years; she last scored for her former Swedish side Vittsjo against Bunkeflo back in September 2017.
