Super Eagles forward Paul Onuachu has sealed a move to Belgian side Genk from Danish club Midtjylland on a four-year-deal.
The 25-year old joined Midtjylland in 2012, but had a breakout 2018-19 season, bagging 20 goals and contributing a further six assists in 40 matches in all competitions for the Danish Superliga club. In all, he scored 74 goals in 181 games for the Wolves.
The lanky striker’s move to Belgium is reportedly worth in the region of €7 million.
The Belgian champions recently acquired the services of fellow countryman Steven Odey from Swiss side FC Zurich, and both are expected to add more firepower to the side’s attack as they compete in this season’s UEFA Champions League.
Onuachu made his debut for the Super Eagles earlier this year. He played a bit-part role in the side’s third-place finish at the 2019 African Cup Of Nations in Egypt.
