Super Eagles forward Paul Onuachu was among the goals for KRC Genk as they played out a 2-2 draw at Royal Mouscron on Saturday evening.
With just a win in their past five league games, Genk started on the back foot once again, going behind after just 120 seconds.
Stipe Perica headed home a corner at the far post to hand the home side an early lead. Genk Skipper Sebastien Dewaest then restored parity when he guided home a wayward shot in the 20th minute.
Before the half ended, Onuachu was brought on to replace Bryan Heynen in the additional minutes of the first half as the scores stayed level at the break.
The lanky Nigerian would then go on to hand his side the lead ten minutes after the restart. A high ball bounced awkwardly into his path and he picked his spot perfectly to score and hand the visitors the lead in the game for the first time.
It wasn’t over yet though as Nemanja Antonov made it 2-2 with a well struck free kick in the 65th minute of the game. Both sides would ultimately settle for a share of the spoils.
Onuachu has scored five league goals from ten appearances for the Blauw-Wit this season.
Meanwhile, Onuachu’s compatriot Stephen Odey featured in the final 18 minutes, but he couldn’t do much as the run of games without a win increased to five for Domenico Olivieri’s men.
