Nigeria international Emmanuel Dennis has indicated there is a lot of interest in his services, but has refused to be drawn on whether he would be open to a move away from Belgium.
The 22-year-old shot to prominence in the UEFA Champions League earlier this season thanks to his unorthodox brace against serial European champions Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. He has since earned national team call-ups, and is now on the radar of a number of European sides.
Dennis, who drew the ire of the Madrid faithful with his Cristiano Ronaldo celebration, has attributed his growing confidence to the belief of the staff at Club Brugge.
He told The Nation “The confidence that I have is down to the team handlers. They have been very supportive since I got here and I have learnt new tricks overall.”
On the reported interest from the Premier League and Ligue 1 (the likes of Leicester City, Manchester United, Lyon and Monaco have been linked), Dennis acknowledged there was something there, but said any decision is in the hands of the club.
“I am here (Club Brugge) now but I’ve been told that some clubs are interested in having my signature. It is down to my club and let’s see how it goes.”
