Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala was on target for Barcelona Femeni in Sunday’s 2-0 away win over Sevilla Ladies in the Spanish Primera Iberdrola.
Oshoala, 24, who bagged a brace in the 6-1 pummeling Atletico Madrid Women last weekend, started on the bench for this league game after her involvement in the midweek 2-1 win over Juventus in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Barcelona Femeni went into the lead six minutes from half-time. Jennifer Hermoso finished off a cut-back from Mariona Caldentey to give them the advantage going into the break.
Oshoala was introduced in the 81st minute in place of Hermoso and six minutes later she got her goal. The goalkeeper was caught napping by the former FC Robo player, as Oshoala robbed her of possession way outside the area and simply rolled the ball into the net to secure the win for the Blaugranes.
The former Arsenal Ladies attacker has been in blistering form since joining the Spanish outfit in January from Dalian Quanjian FC, scoring 20 goals in 23 appearances.
