Nigeria International Sadiq Umar scored a hat-trick for FK Partizan in the 6-2 drubbing of Javor Ivanjica at the Partizan stadium on Friday evening.
The game began with two goals in the opening ten minutes, as the visitors took the lead in the second minute through Nikola Petkovic’s goal. However, the lead did not last very long, with Sadiq leveling the score in the ninth minute for the home side.
Bojan Ostojic then scored six minutes later to put the home side in the lead for the first time in the game. Sadiq grabbed his second of the game in the 37th minute, two minutes after Seydouba Souba missed from the spot.
Five minutes before half time, FK Partizan opened a three-goal lead with Nemanja Miletic’s goal, but Alija Krnic scored a second for the visitors to finish the half 4-2.
After the break, Partizan scored two more goals to take the result beyond their visitors. Sadiq completed his treble in the 59th minute, before Filip Stevanovic scored a sixth to put an end to the game.
Sadiq has now scored ten goals from 14 league games for second-placed Partizan on the Serbian league standings, and will be full of confidence ahead of their game against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League on Thursday.
