Super Eagles defender Shehu Abdullahi was among the goals as his side, Bursaspor beat Osmalispor 3-1 at home on Sunday.
Since returning from injury, the Sokoto-born defender has been a mainstay in the side’s starting 11. In his fourth consecutive start for the Turkish second division side, Abdullahi got the opening goal in the 27th minute to set his side on the way to another crucial home victory. Kanatsizkus Kubilay was on hand to make it 2-0 before half-time.
Late into the second half, Erdim Cetinkaya scored in the 82nd minute for the visitors to set-up a nervy finish to the game but another goal by Ramazan Keskin on the stroke of regulation time sealed the win for the Green Crocodile.
Abdullahi and Bursaspor are in second place in the Turkish second division standings and will face Adana Demirspor in their next league game as they continue their quest to earn promotion back to the Super Lig.
