Nigeria’s fresh and young Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has resumed training with his new club Sparta Rotterdam this week.
Okoye left German Bundesliga club Fortuna Dusseldorf where he was a member of the B team that played in Germany’s Regionalliga 2 which is the 4th tier of the German football league pyramid. He was the 4th choice goalkeeper but was 1st choice for the B team.
A few weeks ago, Maduka Emilio Okoye left Germany for the Netherlands and signed a 2-year deal with Dutch first division side Sparta Rotterdam.
Emilio, as he’s fondly called by family and friends, resumed training with Sparta on Wednesday and is already looking forward to a fruitful debut season with the club.
The KNVB last week, released the fixtures for the new season which will commence on September 12, and Sparta will play Vitesse Arnhem in the first Eredivisie game of the season.
