The Nigeria U-17 side lost their final friendly game 1-0 to Japan ahead of the 2019 U-17 World Cup, which kicks off on October 26 in Brazil.
The Golden Eaglets had won the previous game 4-2 against South Korea, having lost their opening preparatory game 2-1 to Sao Paulo’s U17 side.
In the highly contested game at the Sao Paulo ground in Coita, Japan’s Wakatsuki Yamato scored the only goal of the game in the 22nd minute.
In the meantime, the 12 players dropped from the squad in Brazil are due to arrive in Nigeria via Dubai on Tuesday.
Having camped and played three games over the past week, Manu Garba and his boys will now turn their attention to their Saturday opening U-17 World Cup group game against Hungary.
Nigeria is placed in group B alongside Ecuador, Hungary and Australia.
